Okafor, Anambra Lawmaker Dies In SA Hotel Room
Dr Nnamdi Okafor, the Majority Leader of Anambra State House Of Assembly has died.
Okafor who was representing Awka South Constituency 1, was said to have collapsed on Aug. 23 in his hotel room at Sandton City Johannesburg, South Africa.
He was confirmed dead by medical experts hours later.
The cause of his death was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
Okafor’s brings to two the number of lawmakers who died in the current Assembly.
Okechukwu Okoye, member representing Aguata State Constituency 1 was abducted in May this year and subsequently beheaded weeks later.
There is no official statement by the Anambra House of Assembly leadership or Government on the development.
