Unizik Lecturer Gives Birth to a Set of Seven Twins, Needs N19m To Offset Hospital Bill
Mrs Ngozi Uzodike, a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration, Nnamdi Azikiwe University( UNIZIK) Awka, Anambra, has given birth to a set of seven twins including two boys and five girls.
Uzodike was delivered of the septuplets at Obijackson Women and Children Hospital Okija on Jan. 8.
The woman who was employed as a lecturer in 2020 is said not to have earned a salary till date.
Mr Celestine Uzodike, husband of the new mother of seven who hails from Omogho, Orumba North, LGA Anambra State, said all efforts to get the institution to pay his wife had proved abortive in spite her proper employment and documentation.
He said even though her wife had been promoted from Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer, the institution had not deemed it appropriate to pay her salary.
The family had been given a bill of N19 million by the hospital.
They appealed to the Federal Government to pay the new mother her two years salary arrears and also come to their aid as they would not be able to offset the bill alone.
They also urged corporate organisation and kind hearted individuals to come to their assistance financially to enable them yake good care of their new bundle of joy.
“I want philanthropists both in Anambra and Nigeria at large to come to our aid in order to offset the 19 million Naira hospital bill,” she pleaded.
Those willing to render financial assistance to the Uzodike’s can extend same through the account number they provided.
