APGA Chieftain Says Violence Not An Option For Growing Party
Chieftain Anthony Nchekwube, chairman candidate for All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Anambra chapter has condemned violence as a way of building the strength of a political party.
Nchekwube said this at the APGA Chairmanship Debate held in Awka on Sunday.
He said he believed in organic building of a party through persuasion and people centred governance style.
He said he would initiate APGA sports competition for male and female across the 326 electoral wards in the state as a way of raising awareness and mobilising the people.
He promised to position APGA for more electoral victories while urging the delegates to cast their votes for him as he had the strategy, capacity and competence to drive the party as its chairman.
On his part, Chief Ifeatu Obiokoye said he was aspiring to be chairman because of his experience and value he had.
Obiokoye said he would not encourage laziness by giving preferential treatment to women and youth, noting that people must work to earn their reward.
Other candidates who participated at the debate were Comrade Uche Egbebike, Hon. Chike Odoji, Hon. Ebele Onyekwelu Hon Ofoma Ojuah.
