Your Commissioner Mobilising Impostors For Violent Protest, Isuaniocha Cries Out To Gov. Soludo
The people of Isuaniocha Community in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra has raised the alarm that Mr Chikodi Anara, the Commissioner of Homeland Affairs in the cabinet of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo is allegedly mobilising youths in other communities to stage a protest in their name.
The Community said this in a letter to Gov. Soludo entitled “Commissioner Anarah’s Alleged Actions And The Need For Restoration Of Peace In Anambra Communities”.
The letter which was signed by High Chief Valentine Nweke, a Stakeholder called on Gov. Soludo to urgently intervene in the protracted crisis in the community to forestall breakdown of public peace.
Nweke said intelligence reports had revealed a plot by Anarah,to orchestrate recruitment of individuals from his native community, Amanuke, as well as select segments of the Awka North communities to protest in the name of Isuaniocha youths.
He alleged that the impostors had been mobilised target the Onyeagolu’s, an illustrious family in the community with the aim of destroying their property.
“The Onyeagolu’s family’s noble legacy is one that has been etched in the annals of our state’s history. Their unwavering dedication to the cause of peace restoration in Isuaniocha has spanned numerous years.
“Tirelessly, they have expended both financial resources and invaluable time in earnest pursuit of quelling the turmoil that has, regrettably, claimed countless lives,” he said.
Nweke said the crisis in Isuaniocha was orchestrated by illegal sale of communal land by some members of the Community in connivance with people in government at the time and the community’s quest to repossess their ancestral lands.
He said Isuaniocha people were now more united than ever in search of peace and progress as shown in their collective and genuine peaceful protests at the Anambra Government House.
“These gatherings, held in an ardent quest for peace, were intended to extinguish the fires of unrest fanned by the purported activities of Mr. Anarah, activities which have regrettably culminated in the wanton destruction of lives and the annihilation of cherished properties
“Yet, in an alarming turn of events, it has now come to our attention that Anarah is allegedly marshaling his compatriots and inhabitants from surrounding Awka North localities to counter the peaceful protests undertaken by the indigenous people of Isuaniocha.
“Such an endeavor is widely perceived as an endeavor to shroud his perceived culpability in the ongoing conflagrations,’ he said.
