Volleyball: Bubendoff Beat 2-0 CKC To Book Volleyball Earn School Sports State Finals Spot
Bubendoff Grammar School,Adazi have qualified to represent Anambra Central Zone in the state finals of the male U18 Volleyball event of Anambra Sports Solution Initiative (ANSSI) for primary and secondary schools.
Bubendoff beat their rivals Christ the King College, Isuaniocha which 15-16 25-11 in two straight sets at St Mary’s Secondary School, Ifitedunu centre to emerge from their group.
St Joseph College Awka Etiti could not catch up with their game.
Bestlin Osayende, coach of Bubendorff Volleyball team showered praises on his boys for advancing to the State finals.
Osayende said though the standard of the games were not impressive, the young players showed great potential.
He said the school administrators should make sports part of the curriculum and not firm a team for one off purposes.
He said organisers should try and provide better facilities in subsequent editions in order to bring the best out of them.
