Imo Born Law Professor Appointed Ojukwu Varsity Council Chair
Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, a Human Rights Lawyer and former Chairman of Nigeria Human Rights Commission has been appointed Chairman of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) Governing Council.
Odinkalu hals from Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.
Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra made the appointment on Tuesday.
Other members of the Governing Council were Mrs Ifeoma Ekwueme,
Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, Chief Christopher Ndubuisi and HRH Chris Oranu of Omor Community.
Soludo said the new Council was assembled with a focus on excellence, integrity and strategic leadership.
He said he hoped they would provide guidance and oversight for the continued growth and development of the state-owned university.
Odinkalu was the Chairman of Anambra Truth, Justice and Peace Commission which submitted reports on its findings on insecurity, restiveness and human rights abuse in anamb in March this year.
