Anambra HoA, ICT Agency Partner On E-Governance
Chairman and Members of the State House Committee on Information on Tuesday visited the Anambra State ICT Agency for a collaboration engagement.
Mr Chukwuemeka Agbata, the Managing Director of the agency who received the Committee said the visit was a bold step towards fostering a synergy between the legislative and executive arms of government to advance digital transformation and good governance in Anambra.
Agbata said the Soludo administration had a vision of a digitally transformed Anambra, noting that the agency had been playing incubatory role in driving e-governance initiatives.
“We discussed our partnerships with various Ministries, Departments and Agencies to build and deepen e-government capacity, provide broadband access across the state, and support tech adoption,” he said.
On his part, Mr Fred Ezenwa Committee reaffirmed the commitment of the House of Assembly to supporting the work of the agency as well as addressing the challenges they faced.
Ezenwa who represents Onitsha South 1 State Constituency in the Assembly said collaboration was key to ensuring that Anambra continued to lead in digital innovation.
“We are excited about the future as we work together toward a more connected and efficient state,” he said.
