Police Shoot Civilian Dead In Anambra, CP Arrests Patrol Team
A yet to be identified civilian has been shot dead in Anambra.
The deceased was murdered by a member of a Police patrol team on the Onitsha-Owerri Expressway on Wednesday.
The unfortunate came barely 24 hours after the Police Divisional Headquarters, Oba, was attacked and razed by some arsonists.
SP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the killing in a Statement said the Commissioner of Police, CP Itam Nnaghe had ordered detention of members of the patrol team
Ikrmga said the CP had sued for calm and assured that the Command will ensure a thorough investigation into the case for justice to prevail.
According to Ikenga, as preliminary investigation indicates among the patrol team, a police corporal the suspect in the act.
