Anambra Awards Contracts For Industrial Park Electrification, Achebe Airport Airfield Lighting, Others
The Government of Anambra has approved the sum of N489,716 million for Airfield Lighting at Chinua Achebe International Airport.
The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) awarded the contract to facilitate night landings upon completion after two weeks.
Dr Law Mefor, Commissioner for Information who disclosed this in a Statement on Wednesday said other decisions of the ANSEC included enhanced security for lives and property with approval for both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches.
The government also awarded the contract for development of a masterplan for heritage sites for the sum of N125,8 million while the College of Nursing Sciences, Isuofia would gulp N150,69 million for property clearing and fencing extension
Mefor said the reconstruction of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital entrance gate at the cost of N112, 7 million while N42,8 million would be spent on installation of 200 KVA/11KV transformer for the Institutions’ College of Medicine:.
He said. power supply at Anambra Mix-Use Industrial City (AMIC), Ogboji: would be enhanced with 33 KV line from Oji-River substation for N1,74 billion with a dedicated injection substation for N1,24 billion.
The Anambra government also approved the sum N76,2 million for renovation of Naval Base at Iyiowa Odekpe to be completed in two month while N715,12 million would spent on installation of Ultraviolet–resistant chairs at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
“The Anambra State Solution Data Platform would get the sum of N97,1 million.
