Anambra 2021: Ohaneze Igbo Women Endorses Godwin Maduka
Ohaneze Igbo Women Organization in collaboration with Ezumezu Ndigbo Women Organization Worldwide has endorsed the Accord candidate, Dr Godwin Maduka for the November 6 governorship election.
The group gave the endorsement when they visited Maduka at his campaign office in Awka on Tuesday.
Chief Hon Mrs Calista Nkiru Adimachukwu, the President General of Ohaneze Igbo Women Organization who spoke at the event said they have observed the candidate with keen interest and found him worthy of the post.
“As the election in Anambra State draws closer, we are reminded that it’s time to direct the future of Anambra State to the path of greatness.
“Ohanaeze Igbo Women Organization Worldwide and Ezumezu Ndigbo Organization Worldwide have always advocated for good governance and we know the importance of having the right person steering the wheel of governance.
“That is the reason we carefully did our research and we came to the conclusion that Dr. Godwin Maduka is the right governorship candidate,” she said.
The groups described Maduka as a visionary who rose to the top through hard work, determination, foresight and faith in God.
They said he has single handedly put his town Umuchukwu on the map through many life impactful projects encompassing infrastructure, education, health and security.
“What he has done for his people with his personal resources, no other person has ever done it in Nigeria or in Africa. Most times, few well meaning individuals have used government’s resources to fund infrastructural development, but over the years.
“Maduka has used his hard earned money to single handedly construct all the roads in his town, built hospitals, medical research centre, churches, police station, high court, and personal residence for numerous families, among other things.
“He carried out these projects without expecting anything in return. Hence, he has proved to be an initiator, an innovator, and an indomitable executor.
“If there is any governorship candidate capable of taking Anambra State to the next level, it is Dr. Godwin Maduka and no one else.
“WeI have no doubt that the impact Dr. Godwin Maduka will bring to Anambra State would be greater than what we have ever seen.
“On that note, the Ohanaeze Igbo Women Organization Worldwide in conjunction with Ezumezu Ndigbo Women Organization Worldwide endorse Dr. Godwin Maduka as our candidate in the upcoming Anambra governorship election,” he said.
