Anambra CP Decorates 300 Newly Promoted Assistant Superintendents Of Police
Mr Ikioye Orutugu the Commissioner of Police in Anambra has decorated no fewer than 300 newly promoted officers in the Command.
Orutugu performed the decoration ceremony at the Command Headquarters in Awka on Friday.
SP Toochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said this was one promotion exercise when Anambra recorded a significant milestone in personnel advancement.
Ikenga said the newly promoted were to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
He said the large-scale promotion underscored the ongoing reforms and career development initiatives of the Nigeria Police Force with the aim of strengthening capacity, enhancing motivation, and improving service delivery.
Speaking at the event , Orutugu described the promotion as well-deserved and merit-based.
He congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to rededicate themselves to professionalism, discipline, and quality service to the people of Anambra.
“Promotion comes with greater responsibility, so you must uphold the core values of the Force, maintain integrity, and sustain public trust in the discharge of your duties.
“The Command under my watch is committed to boosting morale and enhancing operational efficiency of personnel through the recognition of hard work, dedication, and excellence,” he said
In a vote of thanks, ASP Eyam Osim who spoke behalf of the newly decorated officers, expressed profound appreciation to the IGP, the Assistant AIG in Charge of Zone 13, the CP Anambra Command and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of the promotion.
The event was attended by senior police officers, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the achievement of the newly decorated ASPs.
