Anambra Gov’t Invites Applications For Pilgrimage To Israel, Jordan
The Governor of Anambra State has invited indigenes and residents of the state to obtain application forms for 2026 pilgrimage journey to holy land.
The call is a follow up to the announcement by the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) that airlifting of Pilgrims would commence in the first week of November to late December.
The invitation for applications was made in a Statement signed by Mr Odira Ezeh, Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo on Pilgrims Affairs and Uzoma Felicia, Secretary of the office on Wednesday.
The Statement said the Pilgrimage was open to people of 30 years and above and that destinations for this year were Israel and Jordan.
It said the pilgrimage was an opportunity for Christians to pray, undergo spiritual renewal, fellowship and take deeper reflection at some of the sites associated with the Christian faith.
According to the Pilgrims Office, this invitation echoes Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s message to Anambra people, which is “Come, let us journey together in faith”.
“All intending Pilgrims are encouraged to obtain their registration forms and take advantage of this sacred journey of faith, prayer, spiritual renewal and fellowship.
“For registration and further enquiries, you can visit the Anambra State Christian Pilgrims Office, behind the Old Government House, opposite Ndiolu Microfinance Bank, Awka,” it said.
