Anambra Guber: Nwosu Says ADC Best Alternative To APGA, APC
Mr John Nwosu, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) says the Nov. 8 governorship election is a two horse race between him and All Progressives Congress(APC).
Nwosu who disclosed this on Monday said the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was not in the race as Soludo had declared that progressives were working together thereby surrendering his re-election bid to the APC.
He called on Nigerians to take interest in the Anambra governorship election and ensure that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) improved on its former performance .
The ADC governorship candidate said there were only two broad alternatives on the ballot for the Nov. 8 election noting that the Anambra electorate would find it easy to make their next governor.
“I can tell you authoritatively that from what is happening in the field, there are only two alternative political parties, these are the All Progressives Congress Grand Alliance (APCGA) and ADC.
“Both parties are united in their record of disappointment for the Anambra people, especially in the area of security and citizens’ welfare, that is why ADC is the credible alternative, ” he said.
Nwosu said his manifesto was a seven-point agenda which focused on Security Health Education Economy, Environment Markets and Social Welfare (SHEEEMS).
He said the ADC ticket was balanced in terms of Catholic-Anglican combination and satisfied the zoning arrangement which guided the distribution of political offices among the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
The ADC standard bearers had been addressing issues that affected the people without maligning anybody adding that when sworn in as governor on March 17, 2026, he would be accountable to Anambra people.
“In line with my offer to serve out the remaining four years for Anambra South, the ADC government is already focusing on the two issues of greatest concern to our dear state, namely, insecurity and multiple taxation.
“,I believe that governing a commercial state like Anambra State requires determination, planning and focus to achieve results within two years.
“The people have become very conversant with the ADC’s SHEEEMS developmental model and they are eager to start seeing evidence of good governance from day one of our swearing in.
“The fact that Anambra governorship election is coming at a time of great national concern for socio-economic rescue holds a lot of significance for ADC.
“The coalition of patriotic elements will demonstrate their zeal by replacing the tears on the faces of Nigerians with s
miles of relief,” he said.
