Anambra: Nwankpo, ADC Candidate Briefs Party On Campaign Model
Dr Akachukwu Nwankpo, candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Nov. governorship election in Anambra says he will adopt a grassroots based campaign that would make the party a household name in the state.
Nwankpo said this when he received members of the State Executive Committee of ADC in his country home, Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area.
He urged the party leadership to embrace his ‘Kwem N’aka; Gwam Eziokwu’ campaign strategy which he would roll out soon and ensure that every community and 326 electoral ward in the state was made part of the train.
‘Kwem N’aka; Gwam Eziokwu’ is translated as ‘Shake My Hand and Tell Me the Truth’ in line with the party logo.
Dr Harris Chuma-Odili Director General Media/Publicity and Strategy, Akachukwu Nwankpo Campaign Organization who disclosed this in Awka on Sunday said the crucial meeting was on how to make ADC win the election.
He called the Anambra residents and electorate to rally round his candidacy while assuring that he would deliver on all his campaign promises to the people.
“Nwankpo who is now unarguably the most preferred candidate to win the November election, also called on all the party executive member, both indigenes and non-indigenes in the state to rally support for his candidacy.
“So we call on Anambra voting public to get their voter’s cards and vote massively for the ADC and its candidate to make our mantra of ‘Anambra families first’ a reality,” he said.
Nwankpo said nobody could afford to be indifferent in the coming election as the stakes were high.
He promised to definitely deliver on his promises to Anambra pointing out that the ADC government under his watch would ensure that all Anambra families benefit from their government. enjoyed dividends of democracy.
“It is time to give the voice back to the people.
“Nwankpo promises to do everything necessary to lift Anambra from where it currently is to where it should be by exploiting her enormous potential in both human and natural resources,” he said.
Nwankpo defected from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) just before the primary election to the ADC with his massive followership.
The leadership of the party was led by Chief Patrick Obianyo.
