Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has inaugurated the coalition campaign drive for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Anambra.

Soludo Inaugurates the coalition which comprised the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party, Accord Party and other political parties at the International Convention Centre, Awka on Sunday.

The governor described the mice as a battle for the soul of Nigeria, Igbo people, and Anambra.

Soludo who is Anambra State Coordinator of President Tinubu’s Re-election in Anambra described the 2027 election as a battle between emotion and reason, explaining that emotional politics only dominated temporarily before yielding to strategic calculation.

He stated that the primary reason for the gathering of cross-party leaders was to secure the re-election of PBAT.

He assured that there would be a level playing ground for candidates contesting other electoral offices across various political platforms, reiterating that the unified focus of the strategic alliance remained the re-election of Tinubu.

He said APGA recognised the imperative to align with the APC led central administration, noting that both parties shared a common progressive ideology anchored on federalism and shared prosperity.

Soludo recalled that even though Tinubu polled over 5,000 votes in Anambra during the 2023 elections, the administration has extended significant support to the state.

He declared that the era of opposition and protest politics practiced since 2015 must end in favour of active participation in central governance.

“Nowhere in world history has a strong incumbent been defeated by a fractured opposition, I have a personal record of accurately predicting every presidential election outcome in Nigeria since 1983.

“If the South completes their second term, presidential power is expected to return to the North before returning to the South around 2039, that is when the Igbo will be better positioned within the central political structure today,” he said.

Sen. Enma Anosike, chairman of APC in Anambra expressed deep appreciation for the

developmental strides taking place in Anambra.

Anosike said the core purpose of the coalition was to ensure the state participated directly at the center of national governance.

He appealed for unity among political brethren during this period of national change,

Also speaking, Mr Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of APGA described the gathering as an unprecedented coalition united under the single mandate of President Tinubu’s re-election.

Ezeokenwa commended Soludo for his leadership in facilitating the historic alignment and reaffirmed the full readiness of the party structure to execute campaign instructions and deliver victory at the polls.
