Anyaso, IPMAN Boss Bags ‘Southeast Emerging Leader’ Award
Mr Chinedu Anyaso, Chairman of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Enugu Depot Community has won the “Southeast Emerging Leader” award of the prestigious Africa Illustrious Award.
The 2026 ‘Africa Illustrious Award’ award ceremony was held in Lagos on June 6.
Dr Harris Madueke, a Director at Africa Illustrious Award, said the recognition was for people who distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavor including corporate governance, politics, business and entrepreneurship.
Others were community development, academics, technology, philanthropy, education, and agriculture.
He said Anyaso was honoured on the strength of his valuable contributions to the downstream petroleum sector which made his area of influence a conducive business environment for his members.
“It is on this basis that you were nominated for this prestigious award.
“You deserve this award because you have conducted yourself with honour while carrying out your duties as the chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot Community.
“You did not take undue advantage of your office but you have discharged your responsibilities devotedly and demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness in the field of oil and gas.
“Your timely interventions often resolve issues between your members and the government that have reduced tension and problems that were capable of causing a distribution crisis and economic dislocation,” he said.
In his reaction on Monday after receiving the award plaque, Anyaso appreciated the Africa Illustrious Award organisers of the award for the recognition which he said came to him as a huge surprise.
He said the award would serve as a source of motivation for him to serve his business community and humanity with more commitment and altruism.
Anyaso, an indigene of Ekwulummiri, is a graduate of Political Science, a business with many years of active trade unionism.
He is the first two term chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot Community and has been able to engender mutually rewarding and robust relationships between the association and the cores state of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu under his jurisdiction.
