APC Patriots Endorse Party Primary In Anambra, Tasks Aspirants Victory
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Patriots in Anambra has commended the party on the peaceful and successful conduct of the party’s primary in Anambra on June 26.
The APC Patriots who took a position on the party’s Congress at a news conference on Wednesday congratulated the winner of the exercise, Sen. Andy Uba.
Uba polled 230, 201 from the total of 348, 490 valid votes cast in the direct congress to beat 13 other aspirants and emerge APC candidate for the Nov. 6 governorship election.
Chief Afam Ogene, Spokesman of APC Patriots said the Congress had been concluded and had produced winners and losers while urging all aspirants to close ranks with Uba and ensure victory for the party .
Afam extolled the quality of all aspirants whom he described as accomplished individuals that had the potential of making APC to take over government in Anambra if they acted collaboratively.
“Let us begin by congratulating the All Progressives Congress, APC family in Anambra state for the peaceful conduct of the Party’s gubernatorial primaries.
“Our appreciation largely goes to the 14 Aspirants of the Party, who over the last one year laboured to sell the ideals of the APC to ndi Anambra.
“As it stands, the Party and it’s rank and file have spoken, we therefore,

“This is because the outcome has produced our party’s standard bearer, who we are all expected to assist win the November 6, 2021 governorship stool for the APC,” he said.
The APC Patriots reminded the aspirants of the meeting with leaders of the party where they pledged to back whoever emerged from the primary election in the greater interest of the party.
The group said the process was conducted according to the direct voting and option A4 method which was agreed by members of the party.
They however blamed the protests that greeted the exercise on late arrival of materials and personnel to the voting centres noting that the congress held smoothly when the process commenced across the 24 LGAs.
According to them, agreed that there were hitches including late distribution and commencement of voting attended the primary, suffice to say that it affected all aspirants in equal measure as materials got to the LGAs at the same time.
“In almost all elections, including those conducted by inec, such glitches are easily noticeable, yet, it does not vitiate the outcome of the contest.
” Primary has been conducted and the winner announced by the Chairman of the Committee, Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state.
“We therefore, urge all party members to accept the outcome, congratulate the winner and work assiduously for our victory in the main election,” he said.
