APGA Chieftain Credits Onunkwo’s For Completion Of Road Soludo Inaugurated In Ekwusigo
Mr Chimezie Obi, Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Council has attributed the successful and timely completion of Ozubulu-Ihembosi Road to Chief Ebuka Onunkwo, candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (ADC) for Anambra South Senatorial District.
Obi, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) made the commendation in a viral video while giving an account of how he was able to successfully complete the project.
The strategic 3km Ozubulu-Ihembosi Road was inaugurated by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo last weekend.
He said the road project was running into a cul-de-sac due to poor payment to the contract prompting him to cry to Onunkwo, a billionaire businessman and Managing Director of Seahorse Lubricant for rescue.
He said Onunkwo called him and the contractor to a meeting after which he transferred N170 million needed to continue and complete the project.
According to him, at a point when I was doing this project, it became clear that I will not be able to deliver it before the rains come and I don’t want to have an abandoned project.
“The contractor said the piecemeal manner we were making our payment will not support the timely completion of the road project and that the road was fast approaching.
“That was when I picked up my phone and called Ezeigbo (Ebuka Onunkwo) to tell him my challenge.
“He invited me and the contractor for a meeting, he asked questions about the challenges and the contractor told him that the payment process was slow (you know our allocation comes monthly) and said that if given N170 million , the project will be delivered.
“Immediately, Ezeigbo transferred the money and the contract hurried back to site and I want to inform you that the road project has been completed.
“My people, I want to tell you that Ebuka Onunkwo is a good man, he is a man who likes what is good for humanity,” he said.
The revelation has further validated the point that Onunkwo is not just a politician but a philanthropist and friend of humanity beyond party affiliation.
This has endeared Onunkwo to the people of Anambra South Senatorial district especially members of the ruling APGA most of whom have pledged to ensure that he emerged victorious in the January 2027 election.
