Awka Stool: Ndigwe Has Overstepped Bounds, Don’t Blame Soludo—-Obigwe
Mr Chinedu Obigwe, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) says Chief Austin Ndigwe has flouted the law by parading himself as the traditional ruler of Awka town in spite white paper of the Anambra government which says he is not.
Obigwe said this on Tuesday while reacting to the reports that Ndigwe defied the report and White Paper on the Awka Traditional Ruler Stool dispute which affirmed Obi Gibson Nwosu as the valid occupant of the stool.
The National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum said Ndigwe’s action was akin to dancing to the best of the spirit and warned that he should be ready to face the consequences.
He said nobody should blame Gov. Chukwuma Soludo if he visits Ndigwe with the consequences of the lawlessness and impersonation of the traditional ruler of Awka.
Obigwe said the matter of who was the authentic traditional ruler of Awka had been settled and the position of the State government was that Gibson Nwosu remained the recognised traditional ruler of the town.
“Austin Ndigwe is dancing surugede dance and he must be told in plain language that surugede is the dance of the spirits.
“I am happy that many people saw him parading himself as Ezeuzu Awka III on Monday, when he faces the consequence of his lawless action, the governor will not be accused of witch hunting him.
“Prof. Soludo is not the type of governor Austin Ndigwe can rub shoulders with, he can do it with any other person but not Soludo,” he said.
Obigwe said Ndigwe was playing with fire because the report of the Judicial panel of enquiry on Awka traditional stool crisis had been adopted and gazetted by the State government.
He said the report was clear that Austin Ndigwe was not the traditional ruler of Awka, His Royal Majesty igwe Gibson Nwosu.
“The cobwebs covering the eyes of the impostor Austin Ndigwe will soon clear from his eyes and that will be when he must have realised that Soludo’s administration was not the one to toy with,” he said.
