Ex Assembly Candidate Congratulates Soludo, Task Him On Infrastructure
Former House of Assembly candidate for Idemili North constituency, Hon Chinedu Nwoye popularly called ‘Obagoo’ has congratulated the winner of the Anambra State governorship election, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
Nwoye, a PDP stalwart while addressing journalists in Awka said that the victory of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the guber polls was well deserved.
The former House of Assembly hopeful noted that Prof Soludo’s victory would usher into Anambra State a new dawn.
“Prof Soludo is the only governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) who has also been elected a state governor, this record is a demonstration of his unusual capacity, brilliance and intelligence.
“A new dawn has broken for our dear state, I am very sure that the governor elect, a renowned egghead, will use his wealth of knowledge and experience to bring positive transformation to Anambra State.
“Since Anambra have spoken on who they want as their next governor even ahead of my party’s candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo who thought out ‘Ka Anambra Chawapu’ project to make our state shine again, the only credible alternative is to congratulate the winner.
He applauded the electorate in Anambra for coming out in good numbers to perform their civic responsibility during the guber polls.
“I know there is so much to be done, most of the infrastructure facilities in the state are yearning for upgrade, there are many roads seeking attention, but on the whole, I hope that the governor elect immediately after his inauguration would hit the ground running,” he said.
He also applauded Ozigbo and other governorship candidates for other political parties who have congratulated the eventual winner of the November 6 guber polls.
