Festival Touch Arrives Anambra As Soludo promises support for Team Anambra
The Festival Touch on Sunday arrived in Anambra to a warm reception of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo ahead of the National Sports Festival (NSF) billed for Asaba.
Soludo was represented by his deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim.
Patrick Onyedum, Chairman of Anambra Sports Development Commission received the touch from Onyedum, Chairman of Anambra Sports Development Commission (ASDC) received the touch from the team of Ministry of Sports and handed it over to the governor.
Speaking at the event Ibezim said Anambra was fully committed to the festival and would be in Asaba, Delta State Capital to compete for sporting glory.
He assured that coaches and athletes in the contingent would be given adequate support to succeed.

“We are a sports loving state with wonderful sportsmen and women like Emma Okala, Mary Onyali and many others,” he said.
Amaka Ashiofu, a deputy director in the ministry of sports who led the team thanked the Anambra government for accepting to be part of the festival.
Ashiofu urged the governor to provide necessary support for the team and advised the athletes to go for medals and be of good conduct as to encourage the government to send them to competitions in the future.
There was a road of the touch in streets of Awka before it arrived at Alex Ekwueme Square.
