FRSC Seeks Anambra Gov’t Cooperation In Drive For Registration Of Shuttle Buses, Others

Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, the Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has called on the Anambra Government to support the efforts of the organisation to ensure that all shuttle buses, tricycles and motorcycles operating in the state were fully registered.
Irelewuyi made the call when he visited the Speaker , Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somto Udeze in his office on Monday.
The Commander said the proper and comprehensive registration of shuttle buses, tricycles and motorcycles in FRSC centralised database would reduce the incidence of theft.
Irelewuyi who was accompanied by members of his management team said it would also aid easy tracing of stolen automobiles.
He urged the Speaker to use his office to ensure Anambra House of Assembly was inaugurated into the State Advisory Committee on Road Safety
Irelewuyi congratulated Udeze on his election at the poll and subsequent elevation as the speaker f the Assembly and reeled out some of the statutory functions of the FRSC
On his part, the Speaker appreciated the Sector Commander for the visit and commended him for the Commands effort at ensuring that Anambra roads were safe.
Udeze promised to make consultations on issues discussed for necessary actions, while pledging his support for the FRSC command in Anambra.
The Speaker was joined by Mr Jude Ngobili, member representing Ihialla 1 constituency and Mr. Pat Okafor represented Onitsha North 11 to receive the Sector Commander.
