Gov. Obiano At Liberty To Anoint Candidate -APGA Chieftain
Chief Alex Chukwura, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra says Gov. Willie Obiano has right to nominate who is best suited to fly the party’s flag in the Nov. 6 governorship election in the state.
Chukwura told newsmen in Awka on Sunday that Obiano had done well in Anambra that only the individual with similar competence would be enough for the state.
He, however, expressed his preference for Prof. Chuwkuma Soludo, explaining that he had the capacity to continue and complete the projects of Obiano.
The chieftain urged Obiano and party faithful to support Soludo to emerge from APGA primary and be the party candidate in the election.
“Obiano has worked in all sector’s in the state and is still working, he knows that that can carry on his good works and he has right to anoint such person.
“I appeal to Ndi-Anambra irrespective of political affiliation to support the Soludo of APGA if he emerges to continue from the good works of Obiano when his tenure elapses on March 17, 2022.
“I am an APGA chieftain and a strong supporter of Soludo because he has the qualities of a good governor,” he said.
Chukwura thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the physical infrastructure he was executing in the South East.
“I have no choice than to thank President Buhari for his determination in the implementation of other Federal Government projects in Anambra and other states in the region.
“The bridge alone, when completed, will not only boost economic activities of the South- East and South-South but the entire country,” he said.
