IGP, Soludo Reiterate Partnership For More Secure Anambra
Olatunji Disu, the Inspector-General of Police has promised enhanced security collaboration with the Anambra government for a safer state.
Disu gave the assurance when he paid a visit to Gov. Chukwuma Soludo to congratulate him on his re-election and swearing in for a second term.
The IGP who was represented by DIG Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, the Deputy Inspector-General in charge of Southeast said the collaboration was essential for sustaining peace and economic development in the state.

Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said the DIG was accompanied by CP Ikioye Orutugu, the Commissioner of Police in the state.
The visit was part of the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen collaboration with the state government towards ensuring sustainable peace, security, and public safety in Anambra and the region.
The IGP appreciated Soludo for the warm reception and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to deepening strategic partnerships with the State Government.
He said the Police would work with other security stakeholders to ensure the protection of lives and property.
On his part, Soludo commended and congratulated the IGP and the DIG on their appointments saying that the visit was important at this crucial time.
He said Soludo said there was need for continuous synergy between the Nigeria Police Force and the State Government while assuring the Command of his administration’s support.
He called in the Police to enforce extant laws to ensure a harmonious traditional leadership in communities in the state, especially with regards to the findings of commission Inquiry on Awka traditional stool.
