Jezco Anambra Billionaire Oil Mogul Regains Freedom After 12 Days In Abductors’ Den

 

 

Chief John Ezeokafor, the Managing Director of Jezco Oil Ltd has regained freedom from his abductors.

 

Ezeokafor was released alongside the Rev. Sister who was kidnapped with him at a prayer ground in Ifite, Awka South Local Government Area on Aug. 4.

 

They were picked up by family members in Ebenebe, a border community with Enugu state.

 

The Police Command in Anambra has confirmed the freedom of the abductees.

 

SP Toochukwu Ikenga,

Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra said the Command was currently taking necessary steps to establish the circumstances surrounding their release

 

Ikenga said the command also aimed to obtain relevant information that would assist ongoing investigations and identification of the perpetrators.

 

“The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Ama while commending the safe return of the victims, further directs intensified intelligence-led operations and manhunt for those responsible for the abduction,” he said.
