NOC Set To Hold12th Sports Administration Course At Ekiti State Varsity
The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) is set to host the 12th Edition of the Sports Administration Course (SAC).
The course is being organised in partnership with Olympic Solidarity, the Nigeria Association for Physical, Health Education, Recreation, Sports and Dance (NAPHER-SD), and Ekiti State University (EKSU), will
Tony Nezianya, Public Relations Officer of NOC who disclosed this on Friday said the event would be held between Sept. 16 and Sept. 18 at the University’s Research and Development Centre in Ado-Ekiti.
He said it was developed within the International Olympic Committee to offer foundational training for sports administrators, physical education teachers, sports journalists, and other industry stakeholders.
“The curriculum will focus on Olympic values, good governance, and effective organisational management.
“Led by IOC-certified National Course Directors and other leading experts, the programme aims to equip administrators with the knowledge and tools to better support athletes and advance sports development in Nigeria.
“The course will be officially declared open by the President of the Nigerian Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, and the Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof. J.B. Ayod
ele,” he said.
