NSF: Anambra Increases Medal Haul With Gold, Silver In Kungfu
Team Anambra on Wednesday night increased their medal wins to five with gold, silver and bronze in Kungfu event.
Sunday Otoba won Gold for the team while Theodosia Odun and Isaac Sunday won Silver and bronze medals respectively.
The haul brings Anambra medal tally so far to five.
The medals include one gold , two silver and one bronze as the State had earlier won silver and bronze Taekwondo through Dandy Igbonna.
In female Beach Volleyball event, the duo of Ngozi Manafa and Ogadi Valentine lost to their Edo State counterparts by
23-25, 18-21 in the game decided Thursday afternoon.
The team had earlier beaten Team Oyo by 2-0 to put their fate to qualify for quarter finals in outcome of their game against Adamawa.
Still in female Beach Volleyball, Team Rivers beat their opponents from Osun 2-0 By 21-9 and
21-14 in two straight sets.
In Badminton, Jesan Jonah of Anambra advanced to the round of 16 in men’s single category after defeating Akwa Ibom 2-0.
Jonah will face Christopher Daniel from Lagos in the next stage of the competition.
