NYSC inducts 2,300 For 2026 Batch ‘A’ ‘2’ Orientation Programme In Anambra
No fewer than 2,300 fresh graduates have been sworn in for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Orientation programme in Anambra.
Mrs Pauline Ojisua, the Coordinator of NYSC in Anambra presented the new inductees for at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Mbaukwu /Umuawulu on Friday
Ojisua said the figure comprised 1,080 males and 1,220 females. while assuring that camp facilities had been put in place to ensure a smooth, well-organised, and impactful orientation experience.
She said the Orientation Course served as the foundation for the service year which was structured for a three weeks period with the aim of fostering discipline, patriotism, teamwork, and essential competencies for nation-building.
“Discipline remains a core value of the NYSC scheme.
“The military drills, physical training, and sporting activities are expected to will build physical fitness, sharpen mental alertness, and strengthen teamwork among corp members
“In addition, the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Programme will provide them with practical skills for self-reliance beyond the service year.
Furthermore, all camp officials, security agencies, medical teams, and collaborating partners have been fully mobilised to ensure effective administration, welfare, and security throughout the duration of the programme.
“I urge you corps members to strictly adhere to all existing laws, NYSC regulations, and security guidelines, and to conduct yourselves as worthy ambassadors of your families, your institutions, and the nation at large,” he said.
Ojisua expressed m appreciation to the government of Anambra for its consistent support in welfare and security of Corps members.
On his part, Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, welcomed the new corps member to the state and commended for heeding the call to national service.
He said they should imbibe the NYSC spirit of unity, patriotism, and social responsibility as well as contribute to national development in the various communities where they would be posted to.
He assured the new inductees that their welfare and safety were the priorities of his this administration.
“Let me assure you that the State Government has put in place measures to protect and support Corps Members throughout your orientation and subsequent service year.
“We have liaised with security agencies to ensure a safe environment within and around this camp and in the communities where you will be deployed,” he said.
I urge you to apply your training, creativity, and determination to support primary and secondary schools, assist in community health initiatives, participate in youth skills training and entrepreneurship programmes, and help mobilise communities for development projects,” he said.
