Obigwe Rallies Support For Soludo’s War Against Monday End Sit-At-Home
Mr Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum has called on the people and residents of Anambra to support Gov. Chukwuma Soludo in his bid to end the Monday sit-at-home culture in the state.
Chinedu, a Chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) said the move, if achieved, would serve the best interest of the state.
He regretted that some people were misinterpreting the governor’s actions and working had to portray him in a bad light but insisted that the closure of Onitsha main market for one week was for the good of Anambra and Igbo at large.
He said Anambra was secure and that criminals behind the threat videos currently trending online knew very well that they would not be able to do anything.
He called on the masses to ignore the threats and not succumb to non-state actors’ scare mongering tactics but go about their normal businesses on Feb. 2.
“Enemies of the State have come up with their old tactics to instill fear in traders and Anambra people to prevent them from coming out on Monday.
“They posted many threatening videos on social media to scare our people from coming out for work and business on Monday being Feb. 2 2026.
“We must not succumb to their scare mongering tactics.
“Our gallant and well fortified security operatives are monitoring everything closely and they are battle ready to deal decisively with those criminals,” he said.
Obigwe described the author of the suit challenging the closure of Onitsha Main Market and demanding N2billion in damages as an enemy of the people and sympathiser of Monday sit-at-home which had strangulated the economy.
He said Soludo was a leader blessed with the strong will to do what was right and in the best interest of Anambra people.
“Nobody can claim to love Anambra people and Igbo more than Governor Soludo.
“His good work in Anambra has clearly shown that he loves the state with passion and can go to any length to protect the interest and future of our people.
“Let us team up with our beloved governor to put a stop to every Monday sit-at-home and reclaim our State completely from non State actors,” he said.
