Ofomata Declares For Orumba North/Orumba South Federal Constituency
Chief Chinedu Ofomata, a grassroots politician, has declared his interest to run for Orumba North/Orumba South Federal Constituency in the January 2026 general election.
Ofomata who made the declaration in a Statement on Wednesday said he would run on the platform of the National Democratic Congress(NDC).
Ofomata is a native of Ndikelionwu in Orumba North Local Government Area who have been in the political arena for over 10 years studying the dynamics of Nigerian and Anambra politics.
He said his major reason for aspiring to represent the people of Orumba was to sponsor motions and promote bills that would secure the environment and improve the standard of living of the people.
Ofomata said the ducuery was at a crossroads and that decisions of today would define the future that would be bequeathed to children.
“I wish to officially declare my interest to contest the 2027 Federal House of Representatives election on the platform of the NDC.
“I have held a number of political offices, especially in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) until recently when I decided to ply my trade in the NDC for obvious reasons.
“I have lived our shared challenges and strongly believe in our capacity for political action will positively alter our political, economic and social growth,” he said.
