Ozumba Unveils Legislative Agenda For Njikoka 1 Constituency
Mr Emeka Ozumba, an aspirant for Njikoka 1 Constituency in the Anambra House of Assembly has unveiled his legislative agenda for the people.
Ozumba who is contesting for the ticket of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) made the unveiling during his formal declaration at Urunebo village hall, Enugu-Ukwu Ward 4, Njikoka Local Government Area on Thursday.
The Media Strategist and media aide to former Gov. Willie Obiano said his declaration was after due consultations with the people of the constituency and not a mere desire for fame and power.
He described himself as a committed APGA member since 2013 with experience in legislative and executive arms of government
Recall that Ozumba had obtained the Expression of Interest Form of APGA.
Ozumba said he was fully aware of the development challenges of the people of the constituency and that he possessed the capacity to initiate and influence laws that coul address them.
The aspirant said beyond sponsoring bills and making laws, he would endure that relevant committees were used to provide oversight that would get projects delivered for Njikoka 1.
“I have the mastery of constitution, house rules, and budget. break down bills that will impact your life, I am technical enough to craft the law and political enough to pass it.
“I will influence laws that that will address our erosion, insecurity, and pain and make sure the bills are passed, assented to and operational.
“I will have regular town hall for discussion of bills as well as ensure direct access for all traditional rulers, Presidents General, youth and women,” he said.
Ozumba said if elected into the House of Assembly, education, water supply, road, health and other key doctors would receive attention.
“As a party man, I have the political capital of a consequential legislator for effective representation of Njikoka,” he said.
The declaration was witnessed by community leaders, women, youths, stakeholders of APGA across the wards in Njikoka 1 Constituency including Mr Chinedu Anekwe, Chairman of APGA in Njikoka Local Government Area.
