PDP Crisis: Protest Over Attempts To Blackmail The Judiciary
Some members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra on Wednesday protested what they viewed as members of the party to blackmail the judicial officers in the state.
The group which bore placards with varying inscriptions said those who used the judicial process to attain their political height should give it free hand to decide on the around PDP candidate impassionately.

Recall that a group under the aegis of Independent Leadership Forum (ILF) on Monday accused the Judge handling the PDP matter at Anambra High Court of pandering to the whims of some stakeholders.
Barr Uchem Obi said the protest was to pronounce a Vote of Confidence on the Judiciary and encourage it to discharge its duties according to the dictates of its rule.
Obi said the protesting PDP members would not condone a situation whereby people who joined the party would hijack the process and deny the real members of the party their collective and authentic choice.
“We wonder why somebody who uses the judiciary to challenge the impunity against him will now try to box the judiciary.
” They left APGA an joined this greatest party in Africa, all we are saying is that they should allow the judiciary to work, we will not allow them to drag PDP down like they have done to APGA.
“They should allow the judges to work, why Ade they stopping others to go to court when they have benefited from the cohort.
” There was a primary election at Paul University with constitutionally approved delegates.
“But while some people who feel they are above the law in fragrant disobedience to law gathered at the Women Development Centre with Super Delegates which has no place in our books to impose a candidate on us.
” Justice Obiora Nwabuniks should be allowed to do his job and anybody who is not satisfied should appeal, we say no to rascality, we say no to undue interference, ” he said.
Obi said everybody should be law abiding and tow the path of honour by allowing the court which is the final arbiter to decide who the authentic candidate of PDP is.
