PDP Youths Back Anambra Exco, Urges NWC To Investigate Three Stakeholders For Anti Party
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Youth League in Anambra chapter has described the call for dissolution of State Executive Committee led by Mr Chidi Chidebe as baseless and malicious
The PDP Youth League said this in a Statement entitled “The Truth About PDP Anambra State and The Motive Behind The Call For The Dissolution Of A Legitimate State Executive Committee.
The youth said they stood solidly with the Chidebe led SEC which was elected at the congress of October 2024 and reaffirmed their commitment to defending the integrity of the party and safeguarding its structures at all levels.

blamed the campaign on two former lawmakers and a self-styled godfather whose sole mission was to undermine and destabilise the PDP in Anambra.
They alleged these individuals had publicly endorsed the governorship candidate of another political party in a brazen act of sabotage and anti-party against PDP while a candidate in the last by-election traded his ticket to another party.
The group said their claim of sabotage against the members was supported with a viral video that circulated across Anambra days before the bye-election.
“We state unequivocally that this campaign of falsehood is being orchestrated by three individuals who despite parading themselves as PDP members, have clearly pledged allegiance to the APGA-led government in Anambra.
“Similarly, somebody who was nominated by our party as the candidate for the bye-election, betrayed the PDP by allegedly trading the ticket to APGA, even while our members were vigorously mobilizing support across the district,” he said.
The PDP Youth League said it was regrettable that efforts to grow the party in Anambra in the last two decades had been frustrated by such acts of betrayal and sabotage.
They called on the National Working Committee (NWC) to act decisively in order to break the cycle of sabotage in Anambra PDP and protect it from further setbacks.
“We therefore call on the National Chairman and the National Working Committee to ignore the falsehoods being spread against the legitimate leadership of the party in Anambra.
“Summon these three saboteurs for questioning and subjecting them to appropriate disciplinary measures in line with the party’s constitution,” it said.
Recall that the PDP Elders Council led by Sen. Ben Ndi-Obi under the chairmanship of Chief Felix Oli had passed a vote of confidence on Chidebe led Exco and called on the NWC and other organs of the party to discountenance
the call for dissolution.
