SE Govs Forum DG Congratulates SEDC Board On Inauguration, Hails BAT
The Southeast Governors Forum has congratulated members of the South East Development Commission SEDC on their Inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Abuja on Tuesday.
Sen. Uche Ekwunife, Director General if the Forum who said this in her congratulatory message also appreciated BAT for ensuring that the Commission came to live .

Special Adviser, Media and Strategic Communication described the event as historic milestone and a significant achievement in the quest for equitable development of the Southeast region.
She said the initiative would leave a lasting legacy by fostering sustainable growth, infrastructure development, and economic prosperity across the Southeast
“I wish to thank Mr President for his unwavering commitment to inclusive governance and national development.
“The establishment of the SEDC under his administration is a testament to his visionary leadership.
“I extend my warm congratulations to the distinguished members of the SEDC, particularly the Chairman, Chief Emeka Nwogu, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mark Okoye and other notable member,” she said.
Ekwunife called on the board to approach their responsibilities with utmost dedication, ensuring that the commission effectively delivers on its mandate to the benefit of the entire region.

She said she was confident that SEDC would serve as a critical vehicle for executing transformative regional projects including railway, cargo airport, industrialisation, the harnessing of natural gas resources, and the provision of modern infrastructure.
She urges the commission members to work in close collaboration with the Southaast Governors Forum to ensure that the commission remains focused on addressing the region’s critical infrastructure deficits.
According to her expectations of our people are high, and as such, the SEDC must not be reduced to a platform for basic interventions such as borehole projects or routine training programmes.
“You must embark on ambitious, life changing infrastructure projects that will stand as a testament to its purpose and justify the confidence reposed in you.
“I acknowledges the commendable efforts of the Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the South-East Governors Forum, Sen Hope Uzodimma,
“I also commend collective efforts of all Southeast governors, under whose tenure this remarkable milestone has been achieved,” she said.
