Soludo, Adeleke Appointed Tinubu Presidential Campaign Committee Members
Govs. Ademola Adeleke and Chukwuma Soludo of Osun and Anambra states respectively have been listed as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Committee for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
Adeleke of Accord Party and Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) are leading the opposition crusade for Tinubu’s re-election in the the 2027 general election schedule for January
While Anambra is the home state of Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Osun State roundly resisted the APC to re-elect Adeleke in their recent governorship election.
Other prominent politicians named on the expanded campaign committee include Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke; former Ogun State governors Ibikunle Amosun and Gbenga Daniel; and former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Also listed are Presidential Adviser on Policy and Coordination, Hadiza Bala Usman; Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo; former House of Representatives member Patrick Obahiagbon; and former Osun APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji.
Former APC National Legal Advisers, Dr Muiz Banire and Babatunde Ogala, as well as Chief Ayiri Emami, Victor Giadom and Magnus Abe, are also members of the committee.
The composition of the campaign team has been described as reflecting inter-party cooperation and a commitment to a shared vision of national progress.
In a statement announcing the list, APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, said the campaign committee would be inaugurated in Abuja on Tuesday.
Soludo’s inclusion is likely to attract attention as political alignments ahead of the 2027 presidential election continue to evolve, particularly given Obi’s emergence as a presidential contender against Tinubu.
