Soludo Appoints Omenugha Substantive Vice Chancellor Of COOU
Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has declared Prof. Kate Omenugha as the substantive Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Varsity.
Soludo who is the visitor of the institution delivered the appointment letter through Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, the Secretary to the State Government at the Government House, (Light House) Awka on Wednesday.
Mr Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to Soludo who made this public said the confirmation followed her performance as an Acting Vice Chancellor between December 2023 to date.
He said the interview process was rigorous in line with Soludo’s commitment to merit-based appointments
Soludo wished Omenugha a successful tenure and assured her of his administration’s support while calling on the university community and stakeholders to also welcome the appointment.
“The governor is confident that Omenugha’s proven track record and innovative approach will drive COOU to new heights of academic achievement and institutional development.
He expressed optimism about the continued growth and development of the institution under Omenugha’s leadership.
Soludo said his administration’s dedication to educational excellence and the strategic importance of strong leadership in Anambra State’s institutions of higher learning.
