Soludo No Longer Enjoy Confidence Of Anambra People…APC
Chief Arinzechukwu Awogu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says Gov. Chukwuma Soludo has lost the goodwill which gave him victory in the 2021 governorship election.
Awogu who is the National Coordinator of Ikemba Front, the flagship support group within the APC said this after its strategic meeting.at the weekend.
Awogu told journalists that the governor had lost the trust of the people through his wrongheaded policies and infrastructure projects which did not address the needs of the masses.
He said APC was presenting a quality ticket comprising Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu and Sen.. Uche Ekwunife adding the the job of campaigning for them was a lot easier and the chances of the party pretty brighter.
Ikemba Front Coordinator said APC was going into the election as favourites and that it was now the biggest threat to both the ruling and other opposition parties.
According to him, Gov. Soludo rode on the avalanche of the goodwill of the people of Anambra in 2021 but the incumbent has irretrievably lost this goodwill through maladministration, execution of unacceptable projects, humongous insecurity that has ravaged the state.
“We are further strengthened by the quality of candidate Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu we are presenting and his running mate, Sen. Uche Ekwunife who together has made the task a lot easier for us.
“Today, APC is the dominant party, APC is the most feared political party in Anambra, today, of APC sneezes and other parties will start catching cold, we are going into the election as favourites,” he said.
Awogu said Ikemba Front was comfortable that the APC with Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu and Ekwunife ticket was going to have a resounding victory that will be created on the goodwill of the people of Anambra on Nov. 8.
