concern while expressing over growing fragmentation among Christians.

He said recruitment into his administration was guided by competence as the sole criterion.

“For me, it is about the value proposition you bring to the table.

“Most of the people I have appointed are chosen because they can get the job done.

“Whoever can get the job done is the person I will hire,” he said.

Soludo commended the church for building a new nursing school in Isulo and pointed out such interventions were vital to the state’s progress.

He said the state government was building its own institutions but encouraged the Church to invest more in education and health.

According to him, it can never be enough.

“I also encourage religious leaders to be mindful of the economic realities of their parishioners and align development projects with the capacity of people to pay,” he said.

Earlier, the Anglican Bishop of Aguata, Rt Revd Samuel Ezeofor commended Soludo’s development efforts and assured him of continued prayers of the church.
