Ukachukwu Fetes APC Faithful With N50M At Christmas Upholds Suspension Of Three Officers
Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Nov. 8 governorship election in Anambra has donated the sum of N50 million to members of the party in the State to help them celebrate the 2025 Christmas.
Ukachukwu made the donation in a meeting with stakeholders of the party in Awka.
The guber candidate who is also the leader of APC in Anambra said he would have an enlarged meeting with the members of the party in January, 2026, to officially thank them for their efforts during the Nov. 8 election.
Excited members of the party who took turns to speak, appreciated Ukachukwu for extending the kind gestures to them even though the party lost the election.
They assured Ukachukwu of their loyalty and abiding faith in him and urged him to continue to lead the party in the state.
Chief Basil Ejidike, Chairman of APC in Anambra presided over the meeting with principal officers of the party from the 326 political wards in the State in attendance.
Ejidike said Ukachukwu had asked him to expand the beneficiaries to accommodate many members from the 326 wards as beneficiaries.
The Chairman informed the party about three individuals who were suspended by the party for their anti party activities and noted that their suspension remained unchanged
He said the suspended persons were Mrs Ekene Okafor, former Welfare Officer; Dr Valentine Iyke Oliobi, former PRO and Jideofor Ejimofor, former State Youth Leader.
In his remark , Chief Arinzechukwu Awogu, the Director of Admin, APC in Anambra commended Ukachukwu for his show of love and support for the party and its members.
Awogu said that in spite the outcome of the Nov. 8 election with obvious lack of support from the national leadership of the party, Ukachukwu still proved himself a political warhorse of compelling value.
