Uzodimma, Umahi Lead APC Campaign Squad For Nov 6 Election In Anambra
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set up a high-powered Campaign Council for the election of Sen Andy Uba in the Nov. 6 governorship contest in Anambra State.
According to APC, the chairman APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), HE Mai buni has approved the National Campaign Council for the 2021 Anambra Gubernatorial Election.
The committee made of serving governors , in Nigeria and Senators is chaired by Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo State and Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State as deputy chairman.
Gov. Baba Jide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos is chairman of Finance Sub Committee while Gov. Abubarka Badaru is Head Special Intervention Sub committee.
Other subcommittee heads are by Hon. Timipreye Silva, Election; High Chief Ikechi Emenike, Strategy; Gov Yaya Bello,Security and Paul Chukwuma, Director General of Campaign.
Other members of the committee are Ovie Omo-Agege the Deputy Senate President,(DSp) ldris Wase, Gov. Kayode Fayemi, Gov. Atiku Bagudu, Mallam Abubakar Malami SAN (AGF) Rotimi Amechi the Minister of Transport.
Gov. Umar Ganduje, Gov. Abdurahman Abdulrazaq, Gov. Dapo Abiodun, Gov. Babagana Zulu, Gov. Nasir El Rufai, Gov. Aminu Masari, Gov Abdullahí Sule, Giov. Abubkar Sani Bello, Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu and Gov Simon Bako Lalong.
Other are Gov, Ben Ayade, Gov. Bello Matawalle, Gov. Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya, Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, Gov Bindo Jibrilla, exGov. Sulivan Chime, ex gov Akimwumi Ambode, Christopher Alao-Akala and Sen. George Akume.
The list also include Sen. Kalu Orji Uzor, Ahmed lbeto, Sen. Lawal Gumau, Sen. Magus Abe, Sen. Jibrin Wowo, Sen. Nelson Effiong, Sen Ibrahim Shelarau, Sen. Barau Jibrin, Sen. Gaya Ibrahim Kabiru Sen. Boroface Robert Ajayi.

According to the APC all serving ministers, all former ministers, all current and past NASS members, ambassadors and former governors from South East who are members of APC are automatic members of the campaign council.
The party said the council will be inaugurated on Tuesday Aug. 17.
