Your Rigging Plans For Aug.16, Nov. 8 Anambra Polls Will Not Work—APGA Fires Back At Ukachukwu
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said it will resist the plots by Dr Nicholas Ukachukwu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to rig the Anambra South Senatorial District by-election on Aug. 16.
Evang Chinedu Obigwe, National coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum said this on Sunday while reacting to the comments by Ukachukwu that the APC would use the Aug. 16 by-election to show it owned Anambra.
Obigwe said Ukachukwu was dwelling in self deceit because he knew the APC did not exist in Anambra and he himself lacked the required electoral value to give the party victory in any election in the state.
He said it was unfortunate that while APGA was planning to win the votes of Anambra electorate in the Aug. 16th bye election and Nov. 8th governorship election, Ukachukwu was busy planning how to rig the elections.
He vowed that APGA and vigilant electorate of Anambra would resist whatever illegitimate plan APC was plotting for Aug. 16 and Nov. 8.
Obigwe said Ukachukwu was APGA Senatorial candidate for Anambra South in the 2023 general election but lost the election woefully to the late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah.
“This is a man that has never won any election in Anambra State since he started contesting elections in the State.
“One thing about Ukachukwu is that when talking to Anambra people, he always forgets that he is not talking to strangers but people that knew him very much that have rejected him in many elections in the State.
“He cannot do more than a dead rat on August 16th and November 8th.
“I reliably gathered that in all his trips to APC governors that he is only pleading with them to come and rig election for him and he wants them to use the Aug. 16 by-election to test run their rigging machinery in Anambra.
“That is his reason for boasting that they will use the Aug. 16 bye election to show APC owns Anambra.
“Anambra is APGA land and the people of the State will continue to vote for APGA candidates in all elections because they have justified the confidence reposed o
n the party,” he said.
