Solution FC Surrender To Visiting Gateway FC To Share Spoils In Awka 

Solution FC of Awka on Sunday shared one point apiece with visiting Gateway FC after surrendering a 2-0 lead.

The Awka based side opened scoring in the 25 mins through Chinonso Romanus and consolidated in the 45th min with Chukwuemeka Oyieke strike following an assist by Valentine Ugwu.

Gateway United FC responding in the second half through

Babatunde Taofeek in the 59th minute to get  a lifeline. 

Solution FC boys paid dearly for their poor defense when Samuel Christian of Gateway FC had an easy walk through goal area to net the equaliser.

Effort by the hosts to retake advantage did not yield fruit as Valentine Ugwu’s free kick from about 21 yard hit the base of the right side pole and Oyieke’s kick from the rebound  also hit the horizontal bar.

The game ended 2-2 draw with both the hosts and visitors walking home with one point apiece.

Solution FC now occupied the 5th place in group B with 25 points after 17 games.
