Ukachukwu Can’t Win A Free, Fair Election—- Obigwe
Mr Chinedu Obigwe, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum had said Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu, Candidate of the he All Progressives Congress in the Nov. 18 election is not electable.
Obigwe who said this in Awka on Thursday condemned what he called the unprovoked harassment of Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the deputy governor of Anambra by Ukachukwu during the Aug. 16 by-election.
The APGA chieftain said the by-election had exposed that Ukachukwu could not win an election conducted under a free and fair condition as he was effectively checkmated during the exercise.
According to him, the despicable action of Ukachukwu during the August 16 election was not surprising to me, he did exactly the same thing in 2019 when he contested for the Senate on the platform of APGA.
“I remember telling the Commissioner for Environment that Ukachukwu will attack him on election day if he discovers that he is thwarting his rigging plans and that was exactly what happened.
“It is now obvious to everybody that without rigging, Ukachukwu cannot win Osumenyi his country home and Nnewi South local government, Nigerians now know who Ukachukwu he is.
“APGA stalwarts checkmated him very well in that election and that is his reason for shedding crocodile tears,” he said.
Obigwe said he was proud of Ibezim and Felix Odumegwu, the Commissioner for Environment and other APGA stakeholders who resisted the Ukachukwu from carrying out his plan in Nnewi South.
He said Anambra had gone past the stage when people like Ukachukwu would be allowed to govern her .
“The undisputed truth is that as long as Anambra electorate votes are allowed to count in any election, APGA candidates will definitely win because they will always vote for the party.
“Governor Soludo’s good work in Anambra spoke loudly on Aug. 16 in favour of APGA candidates and it will speak again in his favour on Nov. 8,” he said.
