PEDAN Hails Soludo’s Victory, Pledges Continued Support For Administration
The Petroleum Dealers Association of Nigeria (PEDAN) Anambra State Branch has congratulated Gov. Chukwuma Soludo on his decisive victory in the Nov. 8 governorship election in the state.
Mr Izukanne Chibuike, chairman of PEDAN, Anambra in his message of congratulations on Monday described the victory as reflecting the people’s desire for continuity of Soludo’s visionary leadership.
He said the landslide victory of Soludo with over 70 per cent of the votes was a new high in Anambra election while thanking members and the larger Anambra electorate turning out in large numbers and showing civic maturity.
He said PEDAN had had a long‑standing partnership with the Anambra government assuring that the members association would support the Soludo administration by ensuring steady supply of products across the state.
He called on Soludo to streamline levies payable by marketers in the state by appreciating a consolidated revenue structure and save them from harassment, intimidation and exploration of agents at various levels including local government officials.
“PEDAN stood ready to collaborate with the incoming government to address challenges such as fuel scarcity, prompt payment of venue.
“This is a mandate for change, and we, the petroleum dealers, pledge to support the new administration in creating an enabling environment for our businesses to thrive.
“We look forward to a prosperous partnership for the benefit of all Anambra citizens,” he said.
