APGA Only Supporting Tinubu’s Re-election —Obigwe Tells Anambra APC Aspirants
Chief Chinedu Obigwe, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) says the party will work with the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu only.
Obigwe who is the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum in Awka on Sunday said the party will field and ensure victory for its candidates in all other contested positions.
He said this was in line with the directive of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo who is the National Leader of APGA.
He warned the public against deception by some opposition aspirants in Anambra who were brandishing misleading information by dropping the name and images of Tinubu and Soludo in their campaign.
Obigwe said the ‘Progressives are Working Together ‘ declaration of Soludo was solely for return of President Tinubu and not for National or State House of Assembly elections.
“With the declaration of the National Leader of APGA, Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, we are unapologetically supporting President Tinubu re-election.
“But the Senate, House of Representatives and the House of Assembly election in Anambra are a must win for APGA.
“One APC House of Representatives is circulating a campaign poster that contains the photos of Governor Soludo, President Tinubu and himself on social media with a claim that progressives are working together.
“He is dwelling in self deceit and should be ignored, Anambra electorates cannot be deceived with such gimmicks.
“The declaration has nothing to do with Gov. Soludo supporting APC aspirants contesting for Senate, House of Reps and House of Assembly elections in Anambra,” he said.
Obigwe said Soludo would lead the campaign for Anambra electorate to support President Tinubu re-election while ensuring that APGA candidates won Senate, House of Reps and House of Assembly elections.
“In Anambra, it is Tinubu for President, APGA for Senate, House of Representatives and House of Assembly seats,” he said.
