Okonkwo ex-NASS Candidate Congratulates Soludo On Handover
Uche Harris-Okonkwo, the House of Representatives candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency in the 2019 elections has congratulated Prof Chukwuma Soludo as he assumes office as governor of Anambra on Thursday.
Soludo who was winner of the November 6, 2021 Anambra governorship election and will take over from Chief Willie Obiano whose eight years two term tenure ends on March 17.
Okonkwo said in a Statement made available in Awka that believes Soludo’s resounding victory was a testament to his general acceptability by the people of the state.
He said he had no doubt that the people of the state made an excellent choice by voting Soludo.
“As we all know, Anambra State is facing huge governance and economic challenges, the state under the former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Prof Charles Soludo’s watch shall no doubt witness a massive economic boost.
“He is tested and trusted. It’s certain he will get all the needed hands to make Anambra better,” he stated.
Okonkwo said he had been a strong fan and distant admirer of Soludo’s ingenuity, calmness, perseverance and economic vision.
According to him, I have always sought after attending his lectures wherever planned in Nigeria and diaspora.
“As a statesman, he has displayed sheer love for the people of Anambra and his victory shall demonstrate that attitude towards all people of Anambra.
This is not time for partial governance but a government that all can benefit and be impacted by.
“I wish him the very best as we aim to put hands, heads, body and soul together, for a better and fruitful Anambra State,” he stated.
