The People’s Democratic Party PDP Ward Congresses scheduled to hold in Anambra State failed to hold as the Panel was no where to be seen.
The Party’s Chieftains who gathered at the Secretariat of the party at Udoka Housing Estate Awka were all stranded Saturday.
The five man PDP Ward Congress Panel was led by Jibrin Ahmed as the chairman .
We gathered that the Panel members were hijacked by some powerful Chieftains of the party in the State and quartered in one of the popular Hotels in Awka
Virtually all the senatorial, House of representatives and Assembly members were wearing grin faces at the party Secretariat on Saturday as a result of frustration, including former State Chairmen of the party.
The party members who were angry told News Monitor that they would come back to the party’s secretariat Sunday to wait.
They added that it was the same thing that had stopped PDP from winning elections in the State
News Monitor gathered that no Staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission was around at the PDP Secretariat.
Members of the party from all the 326 Wards in Anambra were still milling around the Party House at Udoka.
