APGA: Oye dismisses Sack Rumour, Says Desperados Trying To Hoodwink Public
Dr Victor Oye, National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has dismissed the rumour about his sack as calculated efforts of desperadoes to mislead the public and cause confusion in the party.
Oye in a Statement on Tuesday said he remained the authentic and undisputed chairman of APGA.
Oye who was reacting to the news circulated in the social media that he was sacked by the Supreme Court on Monday and replaced by Chief Edozie Njoku said it was figment of the purveyors’ imagination.
He said the last time the Supreme Court sat on the matter was on Oct. 14, 2021 when it affirmed him as chairman.
According to Oye, the Supreme Court never sat, let alone sacked Dr Victor Ike Oye as chairman; attached are the original cover and last two pages of the judgment delivered by the SC on Oct.14, 2021 in which it affirmed Dr Victor Ike Oye as the National Chairman of APGA.
“The copy in circulation by some desperadoes was doctored and the name of Edozie Njoku inserted to hoodwink the public.
“The application for joinder by Edozie Njoku and others was thrown out by the Supreme Court and a cost of N1,000,000 was awarded to myself and APGA, the cost is yet to be paid.
“The truth of the matter is that the so-called Edozie Njoku was never a party to the suit in question.
“He should therefore be discountenanced and the story dismissed in its entirety as fake.
“It should also be noted that the Supreme Court did not sit on the case in question any time this week or any other time after it delivered the landmark judgment of Oct. 14, 2021 that put to permanent rest the nagging issue of APGA leadership,” he stated.
