Renaissance Polytechnic Holds Maiden Convocation For 300 Students In Anambra

Renaissance Modern Polytechnic, Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra has held a graduation ceremony for a set 300 students who obtained certificates for different short programmes.
Renaissance Modern Polytechnic, founded in 2021 and operated by Anglican Diocese of Awka was formally dedicated by Most Revd Henry Ndukuba, Primate of the Church of Nigeria earlier on Friday.
The event was part of the activities 60th birthday anniversary of Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim,
the Archbishop Eccliastical Province Of The Niger, and Bishop Diocese of Awka.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Clifford Nwanna, the acting Rector of the institution said certificate courses had started and that the Polytechnic was waiting for accreditation by the National Board of Technical Education to begin its diploma programmes.
He said the three months certificate programmes were in Fine Arts, Multimedia, Paralegal Studies, Hospitality and Home Management, Photography, Online Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
He congratulated the graduating students for successful studies and urged them to sustain their training, build on them and be problem solvers in the society.
“We are in serious business here and from what has happened so far, Renaissance Modern Polytechnic is going to be a centre for technology incubation, entrepreneurship development and metal fabrication.
“Already, some of these graduates have started putting their training to work, thereby creating wealth through these economic activities with additional knowledge in the arts of entrepreneurship which is managing a business,” he said.
Archbishop Ibezim had said that education and health were cardinal in his missionary mandate noting that Renaissance Modern Polytechnic was part of fulfillment of that objective.
