Police Gun Down Assailants Who Killed Personnel In Anambra
Two members of the criminal gang that killed two Police personnel in Anambra last Thursday have been killed.
CP Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra disclosed this in Awka on Monday.
Adeoye said the gang members were killed during a raid on their camp in Ogboji in Orumba South Local Government Area on Sunday.
Recall that two Police personnel were killed at Uga roundabout, Aguata Local Government Area on Dec. 29.
Adeoye said a 51 years old kidnap victim was rescued in the process and a Lexus Jeep recovered.
He said other items recovered were four Improvised Explosive Devices, two Pump Action and 16 live cartridges.
He said the IEDs had been defused.
“Two insurgents were killed, four IEDs were recovered and defused.
“Two pump action guns and 16 Live Cartridges were recovered.
“One Lexus SUV was recovered.
A 51 Year Old kidnap victim was rescued,” he said.
Adeoye said the manhunt for the assailants and every criminal element in the state continued.
